OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 2 last week and they are already planning a launch for their next phone. OnePlus CEO Carl Pei told USA Today, “There’s going to be a second phone this year, before the end of the year. Hopefully for Christmas.”
The OnePlus 2 has a price of $329 and runs on OnePlus’ OxygenOS. It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with an octa-core CPU, the same processor as HTC One M9 and the LG G Flex 2. It also uses a 3,300 mAh battery paired with USB Type-C charging to create a fast –charging, long-lasting battery. The OnePlus 2 has 64GB of storage space and 3GB of RAM. Anyone can easily login to the OnePlus 2 using the fingerprint scanner. The screen is a 5.5” HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass. The One Plus 2 also features and Alert Slider that acts like a Do Not Disturb button so notifications won’t disturb you will you are working.
This past week, CEO of OnePlus Carl Pei announced in an interview with USA today that a new OnePlus phone is coming out. He says, “It’s going to be amazing, but today I’m not going to talk about it.” Overall, this gives OnePlus fans and to-be users a hard choice on whether to buy the OnePlus 2 or wait for OnePlus’ ‘coming soon’ new phone.
